There are many unhelpful beliefs associated with the Label ADHD. The term Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is far from accurate. Many individuals experience a variety of dysregulation rather than a deficit, resulting in the various obstacles described here.
You may have concerns about a diagnosis, whether that's for you or someone else and it's important that one is right for whoever is concerned. There are many positives from knowing why we are the way we are, however not everyone has a positive experience. Do what feels right for you, and any concerns, I would encourage you to remember it's your choice or the choice of the individual seeking a diagnosis.

I would say it's worth remembering, not everyone will have the same experience, there are many other diagnoses out there that will have cross overs, and being able to hide any of these described can mean they may go unnoticed:
